I'd noticed this crazy spew of nigh endless attacks from The Hag earlier in the night (hey, everyone wants to swim in the stew pot, get seasoned, tasted, and tenderized) but eh, what're ya gonna do. We might've even had a chance, while I'm watching a cross between John Carpenter's 'The Thing' and the little alien mouth head thing eating through my healers in the back, but that thing must've attacked 5 times per turn while my characters, um. wouldn't you know, it was the main boss battle. Lol, well, I've been playing less than a week (got a few characters up to level 5) and what was supposed to be a fairly easy Level 1s & 2s dungeon romp turned into a total wipe (Inchoate Flesh battle) because, silly me, there were about 4 rooms left to go and I said, "gang, we're doing so well, let's hit One More Room before we camp. sometimes spaced between one or two of your party members, but often as not, one right after the other. It can only be used on rank 1, but she can use pierce to get back there while dealing good damage to armored targets.I guess the speed rule doesn't apply to them? Or they seem to just get as many attacks as they feel like each turn, but. Shieldbreaker is great with her skill that deals damage and blight to all ennemies. Plague doctor is great, and occultist can also deal decent damage since there is always two eldritch type targets in the back. Houndmaster and flagellant are the best here in the front ranks for dealing a lot of bleed damage on multiple targets. They will stay on the body parts even after they shapeshift, and there is always 4 body parts in the fight so you will always have more than one target. Just bring a ton of blights and bleeds that target more than one ennemy. The head deals damage and bleeds, the spine deals damage and stuns, the butt deals damage and blight and the heart heals the boss. The HP pool is shared among them all, so it doesn't matter who you hit, as long as you're dealing damage. Other boss guidesĤ different body parts that shapeshift every turn.
